Lunch at Cracker Barrel

Julie and I drove down to Frederick, MD today to meet Jaclyn, one of my best friends from high school... She and her family live in Germany, where her husband is in the military. Jac and the girls, Chloe and Sophie, have been visiting here in the states for the past 3 weeks. Today, we met in Maryland at a Cracker Barrel for lunch.

The different photo templates on my phone kept the girls having fun for a while and warmed Sophie up to me... She wasn't too sure what to think about me at first.

It was really nice catching up with Jac and getting to see her girls... I hope to meet Vince, her husband, the next time they're back in the states. Jaclyn took some group pictures that she will be e-mailing me... I'll be sure and post those too.

Fall at Cowhan's Gap State Park

The lake is closed for the season and the park lowers the water level to clean up the swimming area... This leaves a big beach area to play on... and the kids took full advantage this past weekend. The girls buried each other in the sand... Maky looked for buried treasure and we all tossed the football around.
